Pick N Pay opens in Chatsworth

Thousands of shoppers flock to new Pick n Pay.

The wait is finally over and residents got more than they bargained for when the new Pick N Pay officially opened its doors to the Chatsworth community this morning.
Thousands of shoppers flocked to the new building in anticipation of receiving an amazing shopping experience with opening promotions on several items.
In attendance at the opening was Mayor of eThekwini, Cllr James Nxumalo, eThekwini speaker, Logie Naidoo, MEC for Human Settlements and Public Works, Ravi Pillay as well as board members of Pick N Pay.Above: Members of the Pick n Pay board, present a R10 000 cheque to representatives of the Chatsworth Child welfare.
Pick N Pay also donated an amount of R10, 000 to the Chatsworth Child Welfare and increased their donation to a further R10, 000, making a total contribution of R20, 000 to the welfare.
In keeping with their motto, ‘Caring for the communities that it serves,’ Pick N Pay has vowed to dedicate their time and resources to ensuring that they offer only the best in everything.
Grand cocktail pre-launch
In celebration of their 1000th branch in South Africa, a glitzy and glamorous cocktail event was organised by the Pick N Pay group on Wednesday evening.
The event boasted a number of well recognized Durbanites including MEC officials, parliamentary members, various community members and media. The aim of the event was to recognize the various role players and service providers who joined forces in making Pick N Pay’s dream come true for the area of Chatsworth.
